I plan on painting my room but I need a few Ideas.

This is the bedspread I am going to get.

I was planning on painting my room an orange, pink and maybe possibly green and then the sealing would be a yellow. My room is small so I was going to put small mirrors on the wall that the light from the window hits so that it looks or feels bigger and also so theres more light.

I'll be getting a day bed like this.

If you have any other daybeds that are like this or are also white suggestions would be great! I'm open. But the color needs to be white.

I would like to get paper lanterns that go with this color and a small or medium sized rug. I have hardwood floors as well.

Any tips or Ideas on paint or anything else would be awesome! Thank you!

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

Personally, I would only stick with two wall colors like "pink vibernum" (# 7108) and "tansy green" (# 6424) and then leave the ceiling white.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  2. I would go with an antique white to play up the furnishings in the room rather than a spin off color from the bedspread.   I'm not sure a small room will support two or more colors with the colors of your furnishings.  Antique white is a softer white, does not reflect light as badly, and is still well within the color palette.  It will also soften the room a bit so it will not feel quite as stark.

The ceiling, if it is to be painted as well, is where I would use a polar white or what is often referred to as simply ceiling white.

  3. hello there,

i like the bed spread it looks like mine. i would  go for a pink wall color

  4. since your room is rather small, i wold paint light colors on yours walls. brigfht or darker colors will make the room seem smaller even if you put mirrors up. maybe a light pink and/or light or pastel green (i think orange would be too bold). would look nice.

    good luck.
