My bedroom always seems warmer than the rest of the house, even when the air conditioning is on. It gets really stuffy too. I have a fan in there but it doesn't help much. I own a de-humidifier. Will that help?

  1. More than likely! give it a shot, it couldn't hurt!

  2. You need to contact a heating, ventilating and air conditioning expert to investigate.

  3. Open a window.

If its too hot out, open the blinds to give light and turn on a fan.

Or clean your room, sometimes that works.

  4. Put the fan as close to the air vent that's blowing the AC into the room, it'll help.  The de-humidifier probably won't help much, and it'll give off heat as it de-humidifies so that could be part of the problem.

You could pull the metal register off the floor or out of the wall and see if anything is plugging up the vent - and while the metal thing is off, use the vacuum to suck up any dust that might be in there (I have 2 cats and I cannot believe all of the stuff that ends up in my vents!).

Get some LIVE plants and put them in there.  You should have at least 1 plant for each electric and/or electronic item in the room.  They will help to keep the air clean and will give off more oxygen - which will make you feel better in general.

If you can get a ceiling fan, that would make a HUGE difference.

    Good Luck!

  5. Open a window.

    Or turn on a fan.

    Maybe, sleep without a blanket.

Or even turn up the AC?!?

  6. I have the same problem! When it gets cool at night open the window.

It lets air flow in and cools everything down.

  7. go outside and look around the exterior window. is all the caulking intact?(including the top) if the caulking is cracked or missing. it will let moisture through the wall causing humidity.

  8. start with recycling or giving away stuff that you dont want or need any more, then put all your extra stuff somewhere else ( attic, etc.) i dont know about the humidifier but clearing ur stuff might help

  9. possibly keep the doors open

I have a skylight that I always keep on, that could help too

    or a window!

sorry if that didn't help much..

  10. Open the window! Switch on the airconditioning! :-)

  11. Alright,

First off, you can open the windows on days that are somewhat breezy. That helps a little. My room is the same way, so I bought one of those window fans. Here is a link that shows you where and the price you can get them:

Second off, When using a fan that sits upon the floor, there is a handy tip!  Take an ice pack or some frozen veggies from the freezer. Hang or set the item in front of the fan. The frozen object is getting blown, which blows the cool air outward. That cools a room in seconds.

Last, remove clutter from the room. Clutter stuffs the room more, and makes it rather humid in the area. That's why cleaning a room, makes it clear and cool! Hope I helped you out! Good luck!

  12. Leave your door open and get an air freshener. Good l**k.
