  1. I think a sand brown looks really good. it gives you that beach sand feel and then use the accents in blue. I had a beach room like this it was B-E-A UTIFUL.

  2. I have Eternal Beige walls with jade white ceiling.  One one wall, there's a fish border with a plain beige window covering.  On another wall, it's plain but the window has paisley curtains handmade with wool lining.  The other wall has the walk in closet and a big dresser. and the other is the door.  On the ceiling, there's glo-in-the-dark stars.  So as you see, you can make it anything you want, although I strongly recommend using warm colors.=)

  3. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

You know what would be very cool in a room with a beach theme? Choose a color from their SandScapes faux finish collection. So you'll have the texture of sand on your walls. Just click the circle that says "by collection" on the left under "explore color" and then select "faux finishes" from the drop-down menu. Then scroll over to the SandScapes. I think the color called "sunflower seed" (# 7179) would be perfect.

You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on Roomvues dot com:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  4. Well, white always looks great... and if you can put down a timber floor finish ... staining it ink blue with a high gloss polyurethane finish will look spectacular.
