My room is so hot?????

I have this big window it suppost to be the living room but its my room noww its always hot because of the big windown witth the sun shining on it i just want to know if theres any way to keep the room cooler

get black out shades they really help and they keep your room alot cooler and i think they save energy!

I have the same problem - a HUGE picture window, no a/c!!

I find that closing the curtains in the morning - before it gets warm and not opening them again until later, when it is cooler helps.  I also keep my windows open later into the evening to fill the room with cooler air, run the fan, and leave my curtains open as late as I can to get as much air as possible into the room.  I find that the house is staying very comfortable doing this.

Have you thought about buying an interior air conditioning unit - my friend just purchased one that sits in her livingroom floor!!  Works GREAT!!!

Closed curtians or shades will help.

Tinted window film applied to the glass will help.

Window screens made of solar screen material will help.

Hang an old bed sheet or blanket up in the window to block out the sun.

get some curtains or something to cover the window so it will block the heat.

i went to wal mart bought and round fan and put it in my window it makes my room so much cooler. it might look weird..but my gosh its better than being hot

the window has to be opened tho.

if it doesnt open then u might want to just move into a cooler area.
