My room looks soooo childish. please help!?

i painted it bright green and a nice yellow (i like the yellow but the green is too bright) i painted it in july

im 15 and my room looks like a kindergarteners! PLEASE HELP!

how can i make it look more mature?????

Ok, my painting ideas suck since you can't repint. lol  Maybe try adding scarves to decorate your room with or pillows and such.  Those would be easy to add.  It also depends on how much your parents would let you spend to redecorate.

I included a link that had some really good ideas with photos for you to look at maybe this will give you some good ideas.

You can put mirrors on your walls and instead you can paint your room white. White looks classy :D

ive found that if u paint ur room darker colors than it doesnt look childish + put posters from magazines + bands that u like (avril + Jonas Bros r good ex.)

pictures of you and your friends like on one of those push pin board.  and paint it purple its a mature color for girls.

get some mature Yellow decoration for the green part and a mature Green decoration for the Yellow part.. u easily can make it look better

my room is very bright colors too,

I made it look more mature by hanging my snowboard on the wall.

And putting up shelves with all my ribbions and trophies from sports.

uhh maybe get solid color bed sheets instead of ones with designs. Some designs can look very childish.

   Perhaps  you can darken  green. Try book shelf with  real books.  

Real plants  can be  decorativeive. Paint  or cover pot to  match  room  colors.  Remember  to  keep water container   under  to prevent  watemarks,    or   get  attractive artificialial plant  or  flower.  Adding throw pillows to  match  colors you  like  works  well. You can  make  these on  your  own . Check fabric  dept  for  how  too.

get one of those really massive rimless photo frames and make a collage of your photos (friends, family, you, etc) and stick them up on your wall

also tickets from gigs and stuff like that

If you have an IKEA or big department store, go there to get some cool furniture ideas.

Maybe get some funky shelves that are unusual. Use a deeper color for your accent color. The color can maybe be your comforter, but also get a matching trash can, shelves, or any other room accessory.

*Make sure you don't overdo your room with too many colors. Pick about three colors for your room.

Maybe you can put a cool chair in your room? If you don't ahve enough room for all  this furniture, ask your parents if you can sell some of your old stuff that you don't like and replace it with more modern things.

If they say it's too much money. Say maybe you can pay for part of it??

I laughed because i have the same problem.

But the only difference is that i fixed my problem =]

The outlook of your room is a basic thignermabob.

Green and yellow is a bright colour is usaully the colours for kids.

If you want your room to look a bit better think of repainting. to a light blue or an orange.

Think of any colour you like a just not green... or yellow.

After you get the colour for your wallas sorted out then you have to go in mroe details.

the 2nd thing is..

Your bed.

What type of bed sheets do you have?

Just get a pattern bed sheet but let it match your walls.

Dont forget the pillows.

If you are a girl tak eout all the teddy bears and dolls and  put your ipod,radio,clock places noticable

if your a guy take out buzz lightyeard and all the other action figures out.

And put up some of your favourite stars or singgers

Put all or you big prize postions and try to put it on a wall like an antique.

any awards will do fine.

hang your medals up on the wall.
