  1. VANCOUVER! so much culture there and festives durring the summer do to go to HelloBC.com

  2. calgary is where the party is at

  3. I don't think many people who ask questions on YA realize how big Canada is - where in Canada will you be - at least narrow it down to a province and we can give you more specific information.  BC - Ontario - the Maritimes, etc.

  4. If you're going to be visiting the west and country music is your thing, go to Merritt BC July 10-13.  The link below will put you on their website.

  5. If you visit Newfoundland at any time in the summer you will find festivals - there will be one somewhere every weekend, and they are awesome.  And you will have no problem finding local people to hang out with.  The Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival is in August this year, but there are many others.  These links describe just a few of them.

  6. Banff is a big tourist spot - beautiful mountains and lakes.  I'm sure you could stop in to any bar, or even the resort and meet some people.  http://www.rockymountainresort.com/

I am personally from Ontario. I live in both Muskoka (cottage country) and Toronto for the school year.  Toronto can be a party any night.  I'm not sure we have many festivals.  There is a beer festival haha on August 5-7 I believe. There will be hundred of locals all trying out some beer.  http://www.beerfestival.ca/

Muskoka is gorgeous, surrounded by lakes.  All the city people flock up to that area in the summer, so it is a pretty happening place.  If I was taking a vaction, I would go there.

Another Party event that happens in Ontario is called Wake Stock.  http://www.stokecity.ca/2008/wakestock-2...

it is the largest wakeboard event in the world, and it is one giant party.  From July 24- 27 there will be live bands (well known punk/rock/indie bands)  lots of drinking, lots of summer tans (girls in bikinis if that is what you are looking for) wakeboard competitions and other sports.  Its a blast. I have gone quite a few times - and so have thousands of others every year.

good luck with your travels!! Have fun regardless

  7. winterlude is great, if you want to go during the winter.

and Toronto has a great pride parade, if you guys are in to that...

  8. How about you visit Edmonton, it isn't known as "The Festival City" for nothing.

You could go to Capital Ex ,Edmonton International Fringe Festival the largest Fringe theater festival in North America, it also has Edmonton Folk Music Festival, which is alot of fun, there is also the Hartiage Festival, which is really fun with lots of people from around the world, with lots of yummy food.
