The bleeding is quite heavy. She has gone through 2 mega packs of always ultra thin super plus with wings. I am a little worried about her. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. Yes, this is normal.   I bled for about three weeks after my

c-section.  Did you doctor give her a prescription for extra iron?

  2. this is very normal. i bled for 3 weeks after i gave birth. and then got my periof a few days later. the bleeding is the worst part after giving birth! it should slow down as time goes on, but if it continues to stay heavy, she should see the doctor. also, if she is having clots bigger than the size of a quarter see the doctor.

  3. It's quite normal. She will have it for about 6 weeks

  4. It is normal for a woman to bleed after she has a baby. Even after a c-section. It is normally like a period. But if she is soaking a pad in an hour or sooner she probably needs to be seen by a dr. Just to make sure that everything is ok.

  5. It could be her period.. When you give birth, you bleed for quite sometime. However, if it's too much, and there are blood clots, she should go to see her doctor or go to the ER. Better safe than sorry.

  6. It could be normal the only thing the doctor told me if I had blod clots bigger than a quarter than I should call him .

  7. It's completely normal to bleed for six weeks after a c-section just as with a natural birth.  If she's afraid she's bleeding too heavily though, she should call a doctor.

  8. Normal to bleed for up to 4 weeks for some people!!! The more activity she does the heavier the bleeding is what the told me...so tell her try to take it easy and sleep when baby does but really try to stay off her feet if it is a big issue!!!  And if it doesnt stop being that heavy just tell her to call her dr...he will know if it is ok in her situation!!

  9. Yep, it’s totally normal. This is one of the many things that you’re rarely warned about by your friends.  This how the body clears itself out of all of the extra blood the baby needed.
