My roommate is a foreign exchange student

My college dorm room assignment was just released and my roommate lives in China. I have never shared a room before, let alone lived with someone from a different country. What should I expect? Is there any advice you could give me about living with someone from China?

Just common sense. If you show that you are respecting their ways, they in-turn will do the same. Respect each others tradtions,way of life,religion and language and you should have a great time.

Just be nice and respectful. That's all that you really can do, right? Ask questions too, if you feel like it. I'm sure that they would like to teach you about their country and customs. You might find some common interests in these conversations and become best friends!
