  1. No, this could make her health problem worse.  When your fasting you have to be careful with what medicines you are on or illness.  I don't fast and pray when I am sick.  I don't know how strict muslims are though, I would hope they would let someone going through chemo or a diabetic etc.. eat.

  2. Absolutely.  With no food in there, her stomach will probably feel better.

  3. hello there.

    i am a muslim too,

and i happen to know that it is okay to fast even though you have ulcers.

the key is discipline in taking your prescribed medication.

during fasting, take your medication three times a day:

after you have your meal in suhur (beginning of the fast),

before you have your meal in iftar (breaking the fast),

and before you go sleep at night.

don't forget to take all of the usual precautions,

like not having hot, spicy food,

have your meal right on schedule,

and don't expose yourself on heavy physical activities.

please send your friend a warm regard from me:

may Allah SWT gives you strength,

He takes care those who have good intentions towards Him,

and she will be able to do all of Ramadan good deeds, insya Allah. :)

    hope that can help,

    even only a bit :)

    cheers,

    Dita.
