Question:

My roommates mother is driving me crazy. Help!?

Recently I moved into a house share with a really nice girl. She is an excellent roommate and we get along really well. However; her mother owns the house and moved into a smaller house for herself. The mother is always over at our house doing something, cleaning, taking out the trash, gardening, weeding, whatever. When my roommate travels and leaves her dogs at home, the mother comes over and spends the week or weekend at our house to take care of the dogs. I feel like she's just there to keep an eye on me and sometimes she barks at me for things that I didn't do. How can I make this situation better? I feel very uncomfortable when the mother is there

  1. The only thing you can do is talk to your roommate and explain the situation, how you feel about it and try to set some boundaries for her mom.

Since your landlord is your roommate's mom, it's a unique situation.

  2. Discuss the situation with your roommate.  But you will probably have to learn to live with her mother being there or move.

  3. You should move.    Normally the landlord can't come in, but she can come in as a guest of her daughter.

If you do not like it you need to go elsewhere.

  4. I really dont see any other choice but to move.
