My rooster tail on my waverunner is broken, only shoots up 2 feet, what is it that propels the rooster tail?

How would I go about fixing my rooster tail and or how would i go about removing it.

A good way to fix it is like he said is take that wire tubing or pipe cleaner, but to remove it, you can buy generic rooster tail stoppers. They are hard to find though. or buy some sea doo's and not worry about it :P lol

The rooster tail was designed to give your ski more visibility to other boat traffic. Try pushing a stiff wire back and forth through the tube that the water comes out of to clean it out. It's probably partially blocked. I would not remove it, you will not notice any significant increase in speed by doing so.
