My router ac adapter is ripped and barley works where can i find this cable?

100-240 V AC Universal, 50/60 Hz

i looked around google and its like 30.00 is there a store where you can buy these for a cheaper price?

  1. Take the adapter to Radio Shack.  They usually have universal adapters and they may have what you need.


  2. it's usually cheapest if you purchase it from the manufacturer and if its not that old it could be still covered under the warranty.  

  3. Radio Shack has plugs you can solder on to the end of the cable to replace the damaged one.  Or, if it's just the wire that's damaged, it can be fixed - just find someone who knows how to solder wires.  (If you lived near me I'd do it for free - the labor, electricity and solder is worth around $1 - telling you that and collecting the dollar from you wastes more than a dollar, so I'd save money by not charging you anything.)  Any ham radio operator or anyone who works on car wiring, etc., can do it.  (Polarity counts - the wires can't be reversed - but that's the only thing to be careful of.)
