My router disappeared on the list? now i cant get online? help?

what happened

i have linksys router.

i think this happened once before but i forgot how it was fixed

If you are using Windows XP, go into Settings / Network Connections, right click on your Wireless connection and select "View All Available Networks".  Pick a network that you want to connect to (your router) and Enable that one.  If your router isn't available, then there are two possibilities: either the router isn't on, or your wireless card isn't on.  If you don't see ANY networks, then the problem is your wireless card.  If you don't see JUST your router, then the problem is your router.

You MAY have your settings configured to automatically connect to the strongest network, which CAN be your next-door-neighbor's router if you're closer to it.
