When I scoot into my desk my rug rolls up. I was thinking about putting double sided duct tape on it, but I don't know if it will hurt my carpet. Any advice? Thanks

  1. This sounds like one of two things - either you have a bad rug, or it's completely new.

If they rug is new, backroll it place weight on top of it like this: http://www.rugrag.com/post/Will-These-Cr...

Duct tape may or may not hurt your rug. Usually, you'd do more damage to the floor with this than you would with the rug. Depending on what type of carpet it is, you almost always can use some dry cleaning solution such as "afta" to remove any residue. Otherwise, they do have these vinyl straps which may help you out a little if they're stitched onto the rug. What they sometimes do is depending on the thickness of your rug, they add weight.

    best of luck

  2. get a chair mat at a office supply store it works good

  3. use good ole car makepit tape make an  x across carpet and the 4 edges it will not ham the carpet tape
