My rumpy manx is about 6 weeks old, and she's crapping all over the place.?

My family took her to the vet about a week and a half ago, and they gave us some antibiotic and this other thing (a parasite cleanse thing?). Well, the kitten's butt turned red to normal, but now she's back to having c**p hang off her butt, and it's going everywhere (we keep her in the laundry room closet) because the c**p is on the floor and on the walls and sometimes on her! What is up? Is she SICK or is this a common problem with these rumpy manx cats.

If you don't know, a rumpy is a cat with absolutely NO tail. Nothing, not even a stub. What should we do?

  1. i just lost a manx foster kitten because of his lack of bowl movements, they are known for having issues with their bowls and bladder function when they are young, contact your vet and let them know what is going on to see if it is something you should be concerned about. Keep and eye on it though and his temperature. Good Luck!

  2. Are you giving her cow's milk to drink?  This will cause diarrhea in cats because they cannot digest it.

  3. Does she have diarrhea?  Or normal p**p?  If it's normal, you just need to brush her bum area every day.  They are pretty furry and sometimes stuff gets caught there.  If it's not normal then you need to consider that she may have stomach or intestinal problems.  Try switching her food to a higher grade food.  She could be allergic to whatever you are feeding her.  And how much wet food are you giving her?  If it's everyday, stop.  Cats shouldn't have wet food every day because it weakens their teeth and gums.  You need to take her out of the closet and take her back to the vet and ask him to do a full medical on her.  And what about her litter box?  Is it easily accessible and clean?  She may not like the litter.  Try a low dust version.

  4. Antibiotics kill the bad stuff AND THE GOOD.

You have to replace the good bacteria in her intestines so she can get back to normal.

Buy some ACIDOPHILUS... which is also in Yogurt but not as much. (you can give her yogurt but NOT MILK) but it works slower than the pills.

Take your finger and wet it (not with spit) and dip it in the acidophilus caps and then stick it on her toung.

You can also put some on her food.

This will regulate her intestines and will stop your problem.

    Good luck

  5. Shave her butt, quit feeding her soft food, invest in some high quality kitten food and call the vet.  Be prepared to take a sample of her pooh to the vet for tests.
