My russian tortoise hates me how do i make him like me?

my russian tortoise hates me i love the little guy but when i pick him up he always poops on me...lol but i want him to love me HELP some one please

hahaha, try this- whenever you pick him up, give him a strawberry. they love strawberries. but make sure you only give them to him when you pick it up or he will not think it is a speical treat when you pick him up.

Look at it from the tortoise's viewpoint- in the wild, they are picked up by birds, dropped, and killed. When we pick them up, it scares the begeezers out of them.

Make it easier on them by supporting their feet and holding them close to you. Don't move him TOO often, but try to pick him up and hold him a couple times a day. Try also to reward him when you put him down- a strawberry or piece of banana is good for most species.
