My russian tortoise hates me how do i make him love me?

he hides in his shell everytime i pick him up the he trys to p**p on me HELP

Your tortoise doesn't hate you, he is afraid.

Try holding him gently for a while (don't worry about the p**p) and gently rub his shell. A tortoise (or turtle's) shell is actually quite sensitive, so he can feel your touch. Talk to him quietly. Take your time and be patient cause it could take him a while to fully trust you. When you put him back in his terrarium give him a treat (a piece of his favorite vegetable, frozen fish, fruit, etc). use this special treat only when putting him back into his terrarium after being held or to entice him to bring his head out from his shell. Eventually he will associate being held with a good massage (rubbing his shell) and a tasty treat so will stop pooping and start bringing his head out of his shell for you.

I prefer when I hold a tortoise (or turtle) to have his belly against my chest with his head facing mine. I have found most feel safe in this position so will have an easier time trusting you.

what you can do is look for a site on google search that breed or care for them ans see if they have any answer for this kinda of tortoise. If he was owned by someone esl before you got him/her he could of been abused. But try looking for a site.

Some pets are there for us, given a choice the pet might want nothing to do with us humans.
