i got to damsels today 1 is doing fine but the other cant stay up hes

rolling around i think he dieing can i save him and whats happening

  1. Rolling around is ok. But if he damaged a fin he might be dying. Some fish like to play and socialize, so it might not be what you think. If he's floating towards the top, then he's likely to be dying. With my betas, they died because of the low quality tap water i was using. You could also get a bigger bowl, or try changing the water. You could go to your local store and, get a filter or some blue liquid that is quite useful for tank cleaning. Petco is the best place. A vet might also help, or tell you nothing. Less food, mroe food and old age are also other symptoms. Sometimes petstores a tad less careful than they should be. They could've handled it wrong when taking it out of the tank; but also, fisherman take fish that are TOO YOUNG. You could get a replacement, but if are really in love with that fish, just let it die, or live, peacefully.


  2. Blue damsels are very aggressive to their kind. If you can,  separate them but most likely one ( the submissive) is going to die. Damsels are easy to take care of but like betas they are very aggressive/territorial.
