My samsung 40'' LCD..?

why does my LCD tv show up 'GHOSTING' red/burgundy coloured pixels? i.e. when there is a sky or ocen scene, there appears to be red/burgundy discolouration.

is it time to replace?

  1. This happened to my LCD tv, i took it back to the shop, and they refused to fix it because apparantly it's a common fault with LCD's. They will only fix it if there are over 4 pixels gone in it generally.


  2. Replace?  A 40" should still be under warranty or close to it.

    Is the discoloration inside of the area ?  This is probably what we term solarization.  There is a chance that the display panel is defective but most times the digital main would fix this problem.  Question is for how much.  Call local shop with model number.

  3. Not sure mine does the same I thought it may be down to the fact Im not using a HD source to get the most out of my HD TV.
