My sand filter for my pool has a crak can i fix it i do not have the money to buy a new one?

  1. I had one do that and I used silicone sealant that comes in a caulking type tube (for use with a caulking gun) and is used for sealing windows around cars and such.  I found that it did a decent job of sealing the crack.  In fact, my hoses went bad before my crack started leaking again.


  2. Be careful.  Due to the pressures developed the lid may fail catastrophically, IE blowup!

  3. Use an epoxy type glue, mix the 2 tubes together and apply to crack area, follow directions for complete drying time
