My savanah has stopped moving his back legs as if he broke his back is there a way to fix this is it common?

This is not a good sign.  With iguanas and other green vegetable-eating lizards lack or imbalance of protein will cause a lump to develop at the hips and the lizard looses the ability to move the legs.  It seems odd for a monitor though.  Is there a lump?  If so reversing the effects is difficult, but sometimes can be done.  If the legs, or back are broken they may heal on their own.  If not there is not much a vet can do for a small lizard.  I would try to find a vet that specializes in reptiles or exotic pets.  May be give them a call first a good herp vet is hard to find in many areas.
