So my school is getting millions of dollars worth of budget cuts, and this is going to devastate our school.

What are some ways we can protest this?

  1. That happened to my high school during my last year (senior year there). It was terrible. We had no cheer squad because the school couldn't hire a teacher and they were just looking for volunteers over 25 and no one signed up (don't blame them).

They let half the teachers go and just kept hiring temps which meant that 4 different teachers were teaching one subject during the entire school year (they had a new teacher every semester). So you know kids weren't learning as much as they should've been. The science department was hit really hard.

The only thing you can do is go to the school board meetings and take a parent so they can voice your concerns in case they don't let minors do it.

I went to high school in Sacramento, Ca and it wasn't a rich school at all. We were just middle-lower class students getting ripped off cuz all the funding was going to the richer, whiter schools in the area.

  2. Nothing really. You can vote but judging from what you said, doesn't sound like you're old enough.
