My science teacher actually told us this?

well my science techer is kinda weird but she told my whole 7th grade class that we are all going to die in 2012.

Do you think she kinda crazy for telling us this? because some of the students are kind of guilable (sorry i can't spell!) and will believe anything you tell them

well it could be possible if we had a nuclear war. all the radiation would kill everyone like in a book i read. (z for zachariah) But we probably won't die unless a dumb person starts the nuclear war. Because if they want to kill somebody, it would kill the whole world too. There may be some other reason too...like the movie i am legend. But many people are coming up with ideas on how the world will end. It's fiction mixed with reality. I don't believe it will though, not really...but it's possible.

She was joking--2012 is when you enter college, that's what she means!  

Were people complaining about the workload?  All she means is that if you're complaining now, wait until you enter college.

The Mayan calendar reaches the end of a cycle December 21, 2012.  Some people think this means the world will end.  Others think it means the dawn of a better age.  Most people don't take the idea very seriously.  I think your teacher was either teasing you, or really fed up with class, or both.

I don't know if it will be true. I heard that as well from Nostradamos. She should just reference him. He did predict a lot of the disasters throughout history, even Hitler. Believe it if you want obviously she does, but don't dwell on it. Maybe it's just an interpretation that there will be a world change, I dunno, but it's always good to be prepared.
