My screen keeps flashing what is wrong?

i dont know why but i did an anti spy check, i ran norton virus scan and it doesnt find anything, does anyone know why my screen keeps flashing, could it be my video card? Any help would be great.

your connection from the monitor to the wall outlet or to the computer itself are loose. check that your cables are all tightly connected.

CHECK ALL THE CONNECTING CABLES.ESPECIALLY THE POWER CABLE.IF ITS A CRT,IT MAY BE STARTING TO GO OUT.IF ITS A LCD,TRY ADJUSTING THE CONTRAST AND BRIGHTNESS SETTINGS TO A LOWER VALUE.
