When I enter my username and password on the yahoo sign-in screens it continually reloads to the password verification screen. I am positive that username and password are correctly entered. What else could cause the screen to never log in. I am having this issue on another website as well. It does not affect all web log in screens so I am confused by that as well.

The following responce was form the customer- support@att.net and may only helpful is you are using DSL access to My Yahoo.

"The reason behind this is due to the detected network problem last February 20, 2007 at 5:15 pm.  This network problem indicated that AT&T Customers were experiencing issues with the Yahoo! Browser and Portal Page (running slow and freezing-could not access mail or load

browser-Latent).  Customers were also unable to forward and receive e-mails.

However, the said network event has already been resolved and all systems are functioning normally as of this time.

If you continue to experience the same issue, please follow the required troubleshooting steps that I have divided into four categories below for easy reference:

    A. Refreshing your Homepage and Optimizing your Browser

If the issue still persists, please perform a refresh on your homepage by clicking the [F5] key on your keyboard.

If the issue still persists, it is possible that the cache and hard disk space allocated for storing website cookies are filled up on the browser.  When this happens, your browser may display your homepage incorrectly.  We recommend you to clear the temporary internet files from your

computer such as cache and cookies manually, thus optimizing your browser, to help resolve this issue.

Please follow the steps below to clear the temporary internet files on your Internet Explorer browser to help resolve this issue:

    1. From your desktop screen, click the [Start] button.

    2. Click [Control Panel].

    3. If you are in the [Category View], click on the link that says [Switch to Category View].

    4. Click [Internet Options].

    5. In the [General] tab, click the [Delete Cookies] button and click [OK] on the confirmation.

    6. Click the [Delete Files] button and put a check mark in the box that says [Delete All Offline Content] and click [OK] on the confirmation.

    7. Click the [Clear History] button and click [OK] on the confirmation.

    8. In the [Security] tab, click the [Internet] icon so it will be highlighted and click the [Custom Level] button.

    9. This will bring up the [Security Settings] window.

    10. In the [Reset Custom Settings] section, select [Medium Low] in the [Reset To] box and click the [Reset] button.

    11. Click [OK] on the confirmation and click [OK] again in the [Security Settings] window.

    12. In the [Privacy] tab, click and drag the slider to the very bottom to [Accept All Cookies].

    13. In the [Connections] tab, select [Never Dial A Connection] under the [Dial-up and Virtual Private Network Settings].

    14. Click the [LAN Settings] button and make sure that all boxes are empty on this page. Click [OK] to close the LAN Settings window.

    15. In the [Advanced] tab, click the [Restore Defaults] button.

    16. Click [Apply] and [OK].

    17. Launch your browser and sign in to your AT&T Yahoo! Account to confirm that the issue with your homepage is now resolved.

    B. Refreshing the Modem and Computer Connections

If you continue to experience the same issue, please follow the steps below to refresh the flow of data from the modem to the computer:

    1. Shut down the computer.

    2. Turn off the modem switch and unplug modem adapter from the power outlet.

    3. Wait for 10 seconds.

    4. Unplug the phone cable (that comes from the modem) from the filter and plug it in back again to the DSL/HPNA port of the filter to make sure it is tightly connected.

    5. Plug back in the modem to the power source and turn on modem switch.

    6. Please wait for the Power and Broadband/DSL lights on the modem to turn solid green before turning on the computer.

    7. The Local Network/Ethernet light will turn on when there is a detected connection between the modem and the computer.

    8. As soon as the computer starts up, please launch your browser and visit [http://www.yahoo.com] and [http://help.sbcglobal.net] to confirm

    DSL connectivity.

    9. Sign in to your AT&T Yahoo! account to confirm that the issue with your homepage is now resolved.
