Today, I turned on my computer and all of a sudden, my screen is like uber-big! It's getting on my last effing nerve. Because I like my screen as small as noticeable possible. Anyways, I went to slide the screen resolution slider in the properties>setting area, and it's like STUCK on 640 by 480 pixels! It's getting on my last effing nerve. Is there any way to move my slider?

  1. What operating system do you use? I use Vista and I had the same problem. I would first try reinstalling the video card drivers.

What worked for me on Vista was turning my computer and monitor off. I then unplugged my monitor from the power for 15 min. Then I turned the computer back on, but left the monitor unplugged. Once I was sure windows had started up I plugged the monitor back into the power. For some strange reason it started working. Try the driver thing first though.

  2. ask somebody to re-install the video card driver for you.

that is your problem - if you can't fix it, chances are you will not be able to follow directions to be able to fix it, as it's rather complex.

  3. Reinstall your video card driver.
