Question:

My seat belt alarm in my 2005 Dodge Dakota stays on even if the selt belt is buckled. Any ideas?

IT stays on for the entire 96 seconds that it's supposed to if it's unbuckled, however my seat belt if buckled up. Any way to shut it off?

  1. Look for the plug under the seat near the buckle, maybe it is just unplugged.  


  2. sounds like a minor electrical problem. Similar thing happened to me. my door alarm went off even though the door was closed

  3. Sounds like your electric cable that goes from the seat buckle to the module has an internal breakage or short circuit. Take a look into this cable first.

  4. I'm not sure how to shut it off. But I would take it to a dodge dealer or ignore it. My first choice would be to take it in though.  

  5. You could go under the dash and unplug the dinger thingy. It will probably be a little square cube on the fuse block.Just unplug it.
