My seven and half month baby's soft spot seems to be a little bigger?

It seems to be a little bigger than what it was. I have not contacted his pediatrician yet and his next check up isn't until 9 months and I was wondering is there any need for concern or am I just a paranoid first time mom?

That is perfectly normal. It will close when he/she gets older.

The soft spot does not close fully until the child turns 1Yr.
