Question:

My sewing machine's needle hits the plate?

What is the root cause of it? The needle is in right.

  1. It's bent.  change it.


  2. Also try to change the needle position. Some machines you can do this manually.  

    Sometimes if you have sewn a button hole or decorative stitch the needle position has gotten stuck and didn't pop back to it's center.

  3. Try a brand new needle.  The one in the machine now might be ever so slightly bent, and that would cause it to hit the plate.

  4. check that you have the right plate on
