My shirt is a little to big for me if i intentionally shrink it will it fade?

i want it to shrink but i dont want the colors to fade so i want a sure answer

I've put things into the clothes dryer before and they have gotten smaller (I didn't do it on purpose tho) and haven't faded so you could try that but it might end up getting too small. Soo I'd say just buy a smaller shirt :)
