My silent hamster wheel is loud.?

My Silent hamster wheel is realy loud. It is not sturdy is shakes alot the noise is so annoying and i dont want to put it in any other room at night. But all the silent wheel videos on youtube is so sturdy and it does not shake at all. Can anybody help me.

P.S. my cage is a crittertrail outlook.

if it is loose I would try different  things to fix it or buy a new one

Everyone is wrong.  it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the wheel. the wheel is perfectly good.  Your hamsters toenails are hitting the Wheel

You proably don't have it on correctly.  I had the same problem with my 'silent' wheel.  Then I made a couple modifications.  The darnt hign was actually loose!  And the scarping of the plastic was making the noise.

I can help with the noise but as for the shaking, I can't help you there, I don't know how to stabilize those type of wheels.  

For the noise, take a LITTLE BIT of vegetable oil on your finger and rub it on the spindle of the wheel.  Don't put enough on there so it is dripping.

I've done this ALOT with wheels because mine squeak sometimes.

Hmm...if something is wrong with it, take it back and return it. Otherwise, I've never seen a silent hamster wheel. The movement is noisy. End of story. lol. If it's one that is attached to the cage, the ones that come be unattached...you could take it off at night, so it wouldn't disturb your sleep.
