Question:

My silver fin shark is swimming upside down

He's only started doing it in the last hour or so.

I usually feed the tank (about 10 tropical fish, mixture) with shrimp brine about once a week.

But I noticed earlier in the week one of me clown fish was beginning to show symptoms of swim bladder, so I've put it in twice this week, the last time being earlier on this afternoon.

As you can imagine al the fish go slighty 'banzai' when I put this food in - including both sharks.

One of his fins looks reddish/bloodied at the body end.

I've stuck him in my hospital tank....

Any suggestions...????

  1. this can normally happen due to "swell belly" this is when a sharks organs around the stomarch swell up and cause them to swim upside down. This is caused by moving tanks, getting injured or poor diet. Hope this helps

  2. My silver fish shark and the other shark is swimming upside down i took them out and helped them swim the right way and there fine now changed there tank over to my other one and now they seem fine
