My sim got blocked

Question

my phone was warking till afternoon mu littel kid played with it it say sim blocked i did not block it i have nt any passwored i never use any what can i do now ?did i lost all phone numbers?i try to put any password more than 5 times it did not workI slept on my phone and now it says sim blocked. I called my provider they did something I turned it back on and it still said sim blocked. they said I need a new card. There's got to be a way to fix this.
