  1. ya do wat they say reinstall if that doesnt work go to start<run<type dxdiag press enter then click save information goto http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ref...

then find sims 2 and click on it and see if it works on ur computer if not it will tell u wat u need to make it smoother it will say wats wrong 2

  2. Maybe the disc is scratched. Try playing it on a computer and see what happens ( if it crashes between 2 to 3 hours than thats all right).

Possibly because you have a background application up.

Or Maybe your laptop is not capable of running a disc that takes up alot of memory.

I cant think of any more possibilities

  3. I think this a software problem check if the game is compatible with ur windows version or ur hardware components there are a lot of odds it might be missing files in the game and i think since that the auto save is set to 15 minutes it might be the core of the problem try disabling it and save manually

  4. it might well be a conflict between the game and one or more of your hardware/software components. try reinstalling the game.

if it doesn't work try playing one of the laptop-friendly sims 2 games such as sims 2 life stories or sims 2 castaway stories

    good luck!

  5. so many factors

your  video ard might not be good enough   upgrade  it or download new drivers

it may not  like your  Os  (  especially if  you are running vista  )

    a  faulty  installation  (  reinstall sims 2 )

not enough ram   (  you are not trying to run it in  256 mb are  you  ? )

  6. Your laptop has integrated graphics, which is basically just a chip designed to do the job of a 'real' graphics card. Unfortunately such chipsets are not recommended for gaming and absolutely not recommended for the Sims 2.

It's probably crashing because your motherboard is overheating.

You can try these tips to extend the life of your chip and which might allow you to play for longer than 15 minutes a session: http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title...
