My sims 2 game keeps freezing?

I loads to the blue screen then crashes? what can I do

Check the system requirements of the game and compare them to your computer.  If you are running the game with the minimum requirements it won't run right.  If you have expansion packs try uninstalling some of them or upgrade your video card and ram OR... get a newer computer.  You could also delete files like houses and neighborhoods from the game and clean up all of the clutter on your hard drive.  Lots of people don't think of the system requirements before installing a game but it really makes a huge difference.  If your computer can't handle the game it won't play right.
