My sis in law is getting married?

and for her shower she asked me for a brazillion wax for her wedding/ honeymoon. noone else would get it for her, they thought it was tacky, but she reaaly wanted to get one, so i got her a gift card for it and a really nice wedding frame and card. does anyone think this is tacky? i mean people buy the bride trashy lingerie and pantie sets, what's worse than this? anyone agree with just getting her what she really wants? is this tacky?

It's only tacky if she didn't want it, but since she asked for it, why would it be tacky.  Tell her not to have it done the day before, since you are left swollen and bleeding.

I don't think its tacky at all, now if you were the one doing the waxing that would be pretty tacky, but since you aren't then no need to worry, you are just getting her what she asked for, no harm in that!

Why can't she pay for one herself?  She shouldn't be ASKING for gifts.  The asking part is tacky.  I never asked for gifts.  People gave them anyway.

NO it isnt tacky!!! Why NOT get her exactly WHAT SHE WANTS....if anyone cant understand that then the h**l with them!

Congratulations - you are the perfect gift giver!  How much more clear can a woman be than to tell people what she wanted and they still all wanted to ignore her.  Giving someone trashy lingerie is much more intimate than a gift card for a service at a salon.

Who knows, she could chicken out and decide to get her eyebrows and lip waxed instead - it's just a gift card, not like you are performing the service on her yourself!

And in case she doesn't know, tell her to make sure to get it several days before the wedding as if she hasn't had one before she may be quite irritated and undergarments for the wedding dress might cause further irritation.
