My sister's computer was acting funny, she restarted it and nothing came up except for a black screen..

After that, she turned it off then turned it back on. Then she pressed F12 many times to get the Boot Menu to pop-up. It finally did, what does she do now? She doesn't want anything to happen to her computer because she has pictures of my niece and nephew on there..

Try booting into safe mode.  When booting continuously tap F8 then select boot into safe mode.

It sounds like the drive is going bad or some other piece of hardware.  She needs to stop messing with it immediately.

If I understand you correctly, she doesn't have her pictures backed up.  (And that's a whole other problem.  Important data needs to be backed up for the time that the hardware breaks.  Everything breaks eventually.)  

I would strongly suggest taking the computer to a shop and see if a tech can pull out the drive and get the data off of it.  She will need to tell him/her where the data is stored.  Also, if she has any installation discs (that came with the computer), bag them and mark it with her name and take those in at the same time.

Sounds like hardware needs to be fixed and the os may need to be reinstalled.

Well i think you are doomed and I've worked on computers internally before and i think you should take it to staples to get it looked at for $100 but i think it is the operating system video card or the computer got infected with a virus. Ask them to check for those areas.
