My sister's ex is threatening her over the phone??

My sister found out 3 months ago that her boyfriend of 1 year is married. She cut ties completely, but his wife called her today to confirm their relationship. My sister confessed, and her ex keeps calling her hinting that he is going to have his "people" find her and hurt her. I'm pretty sure that if we call the police they are not going to be able to arrest him on just our word, so what can we do? Answers from police officers are definetly welcome!!

From what the cops have told me, as long as they've made threats against you, there's cause for them to get involved.  But definately go to your nearest police station and file a report.  If they start harrassing you over the phone, keep a phone log and if they show up at your door, DO NOT open the door and call the police immediately.  Been there.  Good luck.

this is a police issue that needs to be reported, threatening one's life is criminal

You should contact the police to find out what they are able to do.  Even if they can't do anything they should be able to tell you what protective measures you can take.

i would definitely call your local police dept. and file a report that way they have it record and if it continues they can file harassment charges you should also keep a log of all phone calls (with time and date)hope this helps good luck
