she's also my Maid of Honor so how would I fit her in? She has a cello and violin who will also be playing and she intends on playing the piano. Should she just not play?

Also --- Does anyone have any good wedding movies to reccomend? I'd like to watch some to see how a ceremony usuaully goes. LOL, yes I have NEVER been to a wedding before!

  1. check out this site http://wedsongs.blogspot.com for more wedding songs.

It has ton of wedding songs which have videos/lyrics for you to choose from first dance,cake-cutting to march-in wedding songs.

You might able to find a wedding movie here...

Please rate my post if it is helpful.

    Thanks.

  2. "Father of the Bride" both the original with Liz Taylor as the bride, or the newer one with Steve Martin.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding is good.

Yes, have her play! She can walk down the aisle, stand with you with her bouquet, and when it time, just walk to wear she will play, and pick up the instrument, or slide in behind the piano. When she is done, she walks back to he place by you and picks up the bouquet.

And if she is doing more than one selection, same thing, or she can just go from one instrument to the other, if that is what you are doing. Everybody just waits until she makes the journey to and from.

How nice you have someone that can play music at the wedding. Definitely, do not skip having her perform. If she can manage the dress you picked out and the cello too, that would be so pretty, I love cello. If not, she could play the violin.

  3. My cousin was both a bridesmaid and the violinist in the church.  She was in the limo with my party, and she walked down first.  When it came time for her to turn to go into the pew, she just kept walking up to the side of the alter.  She remained up their for the ceremony.  Her "partner" walking back down the aisle escorted the flower girls back down at the end.  It worked out perfectly for us...

Then again, MOH is a little different.  She's supposed to be standing with you the whole time (fixing your train, and just standing for you).  Is it just one song, or a couple that she'll be doing?  Because she can always leave her "post" by you for a song or two...

  4. Have her play! One of the best men (there's two) at our wedding will be playing the guitar as I walk down the aisle. It's your wedding, do what you want!

Hmmm good wedding movies...does My Best Friends Wedding have the vows in it? I'll have a think of some more and get back to you!

  5. I think it would be very nice that she does that, it will give your wedding a little class. I had a wedding band for over 25 year's and seen many family members come up to sing or play an instrument. Best Of Luck!

  6. have her play in the wedding. i think it will be very nice.

    Father of the Bride

sorry that's all i can come up with.
