  1. Make sure your nephew is OK. he might have emotional/mental problems that require medical help. This would cause extreme stress for all and maybe explain his problems.

If this is not the case, then yes, your sis needs help and until she get's help i would limit babysitting for her from you and your mum. Like you said, she is dumping him on you and your mum. She could be depressed or just burned out. There are support groups she could join as well as parenting classes she could take. I would look into it but involve your mum as well.

  2. Weird.

Is he in daycare, or does she stay home with him? It sounds like she needs a regular break from him. Kids do drive you crazy around that age.

Is there something else going on with her? Is she stressed out in general? Why can't she deal with him? I tend to think that she's stressed from something else, which is why she can't cope with him well.

  3. Put her in contact with Catholic Charities,  parenting classes is one of the services offered.  Tell you mom she has to stop catering to your sister and help her get some professional help.  This child is being cheated out of his childhood and the situation will only get worse the older he is.

  4. A child that is board and not actively engaged in something is more likely to act out.  I think your sis should take some child development classes to help her figure out what she can do.  Her daycare or doc can refer her to classes in your area
