My sister eats her dandruff!?

i saw my sister scratching her head and then eating what was under her fingernail!!

shes 15!!

eww

can she get sick from that?

does it lead to anything bad?

what can i do to make her stop?

It won't lead to anything bad.

I would get her some shampoo called NIOXIN - it is sold in salons - if she uses it every day it will get rid of all that build up on her scalp that is itching and bothering her, then she won't have anything to eat.  But she may start eating scabs or something then.

She may possibly have been just biting her fingernails, as many people do.  If she is eating her dandruff though, it's just dead skin cells.  I don't think it will hurt her in any way.

It's ok in small quantities. But 1/2 cup or more she may start convulsing.I suggest she shave her head
