  1. Well, you should have put some ice on in in the first place, hopefully that's all you'll need to do.

Don't put ice directly on the eye region either, wrap it in a thin towel.  If the swelling doesn't start to go down in an hour, or there's evidence of leaking fluids from the eye, or blood... go to the hospital immediately.

  2. she needs to put cold on it, hopefully she did that last night?

ice is great for the swelling

don't let the ice (or frozen veggies in the bag/ or one of those blue gel ice packs) touch her eye directly

you should have something between her skin and the ice, try using a tea towel or something like that

try not to put too much makeup on it, it will just end up looking worse. plus touching and poking and prodding at the eye to get the makeup on will potentially make it worse

  3. do what Rocky  did, put a steak on it  for a few  hours, do it for a few days ,

  4. Punch her other eye so her face looks symmetrical. (just kidding)

  5. Sliced bologna.

Put a pack on her eye.  It is soft and it will mold to the contour of her face, and it is cold so it will draw the swelling.

Get a couple of packs (or half the pack) and alternate the "packs" from refrigerator to face, to keep them cold.

If you hate the smell of bologna, like I do, then you can use any kind of meat.

If that doesn't work then break her nose so that she doesn't think about her eye anymore.  =)

  6. Put some ice wrapped in a towel and slowly dab on it. Then go to the doctor to see if things are ok.
