My sister has a white furniture/shabbychic store but needs help to bring in business, How should we advertise?

THe store is probablly 25 years old. They started with basic crafts but now do french country shabby chic mostly white but other colrs as well and upholstery. Hand made benches shelves morrors candle canloperas chandeliers etc. but she needs help reviving things. Our father is a furn manufacturer and makes us frames. Can anyonle help our family with good advice?

Craigslist, kijiji.com, Google Base and Ebay are options online.

You can also join your local Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau.

Email marketing can be effective, but you need to be able to capture email addresses on your website through a form.

You should also submit your site to Google Local and Yahoo Local as well as any other local directory, such as City Search, you can find.  Those can be huge traffic drivers if you can get into top results.

Make sure your website is properly optimized for the engines to pick it up (SEO).  If it's not search friendly it's going to be nearly impossible to rank well on Google.

Hi Daniel & Family!

Have you got an email database or people you supply to?  Even your email address book (assuming everyone in the family has one?)

Why not create a short "movie" with pictures of your stock and send out a video email to everyone!!??  You can have banner links back to your website (drive more traffic there!), you can showcase this week's stock and people will get to know you!

It's an awesome tool and would place you ahead of the game - your business is highly visual!
