well she just had a d&c and the doctor told her that she can try making a baby in 2 months..do you think she should try again at the 2 months or should she wait a little longer to make sure that her system is clean?

  1. Biologically, 2 months is enough time (2 normal menstral cycles, I should say) for the system to have rebooted, and be a healthy enviornment for another child to grow in. The real issue is, weather or not your sis-in-law is mentally/emotionally prepaired to try again. Loosing a child can be very traumatic, and shouldn't be taken lightly. If she is really ready, blessings to her, but if not a pregnancy that should be enjoyed, and embraced, will be fraught with stress, fear and anxiety. Best wishes to all.

  2. Two months is what most doctors recommend.  I had a miscarriage and my doctor said to wait at least one cycle but then it should be okay.

As long as she and her husband are emotionally ready to try again after two months it should be fine.

  3. Once she's had two normal periods that should be enough time.

  4. the doc said two months and he knows what he is talking about...he is the doctor after all

Not if she has only had 1-2 misscarrages. Sadly it is considered normal to lose one pregnancy. Where I am it is not until you have lost 3 babies that you get more investigation done and watched more carefully
