My sister is 12, and she's getting her physical

my sister is 12, and she's getting her physical, and she's really scared, what can i tell her? i didnt get my physical till i was 15, so im not sure about a 12 yr old...

Just tell he its nothing to be scared of. I had one at 13. Just to make her feel more comfortable, see if she can get a female Doctor. Explain what there going to do before shes goes so she knows what to expect. They should test her reflexes by tapping her knees, probably make her bend over and check her spine, take her blood pressure, might ask puberty questions ( first time i went, they didnt ask, but did the second time), check in her ears and throat, test her vision and hearing. Just tell her some of the stuff they did to you. Have a women take her, theres nothing more uncomfortable then when a males in the room.

dont worry all they do is check you over. i dont think they will do a pap smear unless she is sexually active. they may need to give her a shot and draw some blood if they see the need. its no big deal tell her not to worry

You could tell her that a doc is there to make sure everything is ok.

They can see problems before they get too serious.

all they do is check your ears,spine throat,eyes,and answer health questions like family related stuff like cancer or stroke,stuff like that. that happened your family
