My sister is a delta sigma theta will it be easier for me to get in or does that affect my chance in any way?

  1. it is suppose to be easier but then they do see how well you get along with the other girls before you are accepted. So make sure you join the rushing events everyday and get to know the president.  


  2. No not necessarily. It's usually left up to the decretion of the members.But to be sure, check with an older member that you trust. I know that this question cannot be asked to the members on campus.

  3. For the first part of your question (re: easier) - absolutely not. Delta has no requirement that preference be given to applicants with family members that are already members of the organization.

    For the second, yes it could - but in ways that are up to you to decide. It is possible that this could NEGATIVELY affect your chance of being extended membership, if you were to broadcast your family's legacy and display an attitude of entitlement. On the other hand, your sister's membership can POSITIVELY influence your pursuit, because there is a member of the organization close to you that can provide you w/ better guidance than an anonymous poster on an internet forum ever could. (wink)
