My sister is getting married November 1st and I don't know what to buy her.?

She is a great person, my best friend. I want her gift to be something special but I just have no idea what to get. Any suggestions would be great! Also, if you have any idea's on a reception speech (poems or sayings) that would also be very helpfull. Thanks so much!

when my sister got married i prepared a dvd movie for her - put her pictures from childhood all the way through till she met her husband and added some funny vids in the middle put a little section for the family only etc even had her favourite songs on there etc my sister cried, laughed and LOVED it all the guests loved it too and actually wanted me to do some vids for upcoming bdays etc... u can do sumthin like that n play it on her wedding but i also got her plasma tv sooo maybe add a gift for the house? congrats on the wedding hope u have fun :P

how about a scrap book for a gift and just mention that she is ur bff and it should all fall together!

to couples that I am very close to, I like to buy their toasting flutes.  That is one gift they won't want to return.

You have one advantage. She is your sister! It's not only about the gifts but about the meanings behind it. So, even if you gave her a cub holder with a card saying how much you love her, she'll appreciate it. :)

Since she's your sister, you should get her something personalized. It's just more personal than say a gift from her registry.

It might be special to buy her something she can wear on her wedding day, like a necklace or a bracelet..it can be her "something new" or maybe her "something blue".

Another idea for the reception is to make a video presentation of pictures of you two growing up and add words to the presentation.
