My sister is getting married and asked me to be her male(maid) of honor and I was honored that she asked me,?

I said after I get the guest at the two partys combined,,,bridal and batcherlette that I would make a exit and she said that she wanted me there to party and get drunk with her and the other ladys,, I know she wants me there but would the other ladys not like having a guy at one of these partys?this is so weird,, alot more than just being next to her for the wedding,,I know I will get teased but thats ok,, I love her and to make her marrige day special I will do anything for her and will try to be the best male(maid) of honor I can be,, her friends will be so jealous at the partys,,, I want to go all out to show sister I love her and she will always look back and say she picked the best (MAN) for the job....

Well, I only found one question in all of that, and the answer is I don't know.  You know your sister's friends better than I would.  I wouldn't care, depending on what the party entailed, but it would have been nice for your sister to invite some other male friends of hers.  I would just go, and if you feel uncomfortable leave early.  

    As for your tux, I wouldn't worry about matching the groom's attendants.  It would be best that everyone look like a cohesive group for pictures anyway.  Have fun!


  2. I have heard that a lot of woman are doing this now. As for the bachelorette party though, I think it would be really weird for you to be there...that's coming from a female perspective.

  3. It's definitely an honor to be asked, although a bit strange for a guy. Typically, it supposed to be females only. As far as joining her for the bachelorette party, don't. Make up a story and casually, but tastefully decline. Don't make anyone uncomfortable. Preparing for a wedding, whether you're a Best Man or "Maid" of Honor, is tough, but remember, it's her day and she has final say on plans. Except for the bachelorette party!
