and she has been acting like a real b***h the past couple of months, since she turned eighteen and I really don't like it because she is like the person that I used to get along most in my family and now I HATE HER! Why is she acting this way????

God this sounds sooo familiar!!!!!!! my sis was the same way. Come to think of it, she still is. She completely LOVES herself. She's a posh cow. And she wasn't like this before collage. She has new posh friends and a new posh bf. I hate what she has become.

I told her what i thought. Everyone in my family though the same thing.  My uncles and aunts and cousins nanny and grandad. But not my mam and dad. She is there  golden girl. But tell your sis what you think about the way she's acting. But try it in the nicest way possible. No matter how much she is annoying you. I know what your thinking .........talking ....where have i heard that one before ??? it dose help. And if she doesn't change, at least you no, that she knows, she's being a nasty. good luck x*x

i dont know my brother acts the same way and hes 16 we use to always hangout but now hes a jerk and i dont want to be around him and i think im becoming this way to my younger brothers but i mostly act that way because i hate my mom i hate her boyfriend and i hate having to hate my older brother thats why i cant wait to move with my aunt and my dad

and my little brothers just act like little brats all the time and my mom says its because of me my mom blames everything on me

my sister was the same. she first started out as a friend. like someone who i wouldnt mind hanging out with. then when she got into college she totally changed. but that was 3 years ago.

i underwent the same thing when i got into college. i was really proud of myself and said things that would make me sound really important you know. going from high school to college is the time when you grow up and figure out what kind of adult youd be.

your sister is probably just feeling really proud of herself or glad she can now be in control of most of her life. shes a b***h now but eventually she'll grow out of it and be mature.

People often act their very worst when they are feeling stressful, fearful, anxious.  They act worse then than when they are actually angry.  Reach out to your sister to let her know that you are still there for her and will always cherish the time you had together.  Don't expect an immediate improvement because she's going to continue in this stressed out mode for a while.  Just try to remain calm and accepting.  She needs your love and support whether she'll admit it or not.

Good luck!!  And you are going to be surprised at how much you'll miss her...

Maybe your sister is trying to cope , I am assuming she's moving away for college, about having to move away. She might be distancing herself from everyone by acting mean to not have to deal with the real issue. Or she's excited about being grown up and on her own and it's getting to her head and she thinks she can treat people however she wants. It might be a mixture of both. Either way talk to her or somehow let her know you feel this way.
