Her husband thinks they're red-tail hawks, but I thought red-tail were solitary. If not red-tail, what hawks could they be?

  1. Have her show photos to people familiar with the native birds in their area.  Yes, that predation behavior is normal.  The cheapest defense is probably aviary netting.

  2. time for you to get an bow and arrow and hang one of their heads that usually gets rid of them well usually that is!

  3. Hi Sunny,

I really don't think your concern should be about what type of hawks they are and you have no control over what the hawks do. They're predators and they're hungry. However, you can help the rabbits by putting them in a large pen of some type, ASAP

  4. To solve the bunny problem you should capture them and give them to a shelter, but capture them without hurting them. And have someone like a zookeeper or a specialist with hawks, animals, reptiles, etc. come in and humainely capture the hawks and take them to a zoo or natural habitat. To solve the identity problem, take a good picture of the bird and post it up here again and maybe someone could identify it. Good Luck, and I hope that solves your problem ;)

  5. Unless they are her pet bunnies let nature take its course...the hawks need to eat too....yeah it sounds cruel but that is why bunnies are good at multiplication. Wouldn't know what kind of hawk it was unless you had a pic...your better off looking online on some bird watching site..
